DNA Access's at-home STD tests are quick and simple to use. Detailed and easy to follow sample collection instructions are included in each test kit. It is very straight forward to collect your own sample in the privacy of your own home.
A urine sample is required for testing for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomoniasis. This is easily and painlessly collected in the provided sterile urine collection container and a small amount transferred to the provided urine specimen transport container.
A blood sample is required for testing for HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and syphilis. A simple finger-prick lancet (provided) is used to quickly puncture the skin on the finger tip and a small amount of blood (just a few drops) is collected. There is no lasting pain and bleeding stops very quickly.
Samples are returned to to our CLIA-certified and CAP-accredited laboratory with the provided shipping supplies. Testing begins when your sample arrives at the laboratory and results are available within 2 - 3 days.
